OfysUtils - Ofys UPS Utilities

What is it?

For now this package contains only an utility called ofysctl, which let you check the status of your Ofys UPS or send commands to it via command line parameters.

What hardware is supported?
===========================

It should work with all the Ofys UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplier) family by Sicon. I've tested it only with an Ofys 500. Let me know if you test it with other models.

WARNING!!
=========

Don't connect delicate appliances (like your computer) to the UPS AC power source when first testing this program: unwanted power breakdowns may damage them. For example old Ofys UPS would cut off the power on serial communicaton error.

Why have I written this program?
================================

I had to manually place my UPS in stand-by every time I shut down my computer; and I wasn't happy with it. With this utility and ACPI support in kernel I just push my case power button and everything goes off properly.
